Its founder, Nicole Foley, wished to provide an area of calm that would be a respite for busy D.C. professionals.

As web developer and marketing consultant, I created the branding and website for Quiet Mind Yoga based on this ideal. After working closely with Ms. Foley to develop the design, I coded the templates, CSS, and javascript includes for the site.

With over one hundred study abroad programs and several hunded study abroad students per year, AU Abroad has allowed American University to become one of the top universities in offering international opportunities to its students.

As a web developer and consultant, I created a variety of interactive modules for the website, including a flash map of study abroad programs, an online interactive orientation program, program-specific financial information, and did database administration for the registration process. The site runs on a custom CMS, created with ColdFusion and Access, that allows AU Abroad employees to maintain and update programs through an online interface and by using a WYSIWYG html editor.

In partnership with American University in Washington, D.C., AUN seeks to provide world-class education to students in Lagos, Nigeria. AUN  is gearing up this year to host its inaugural graduation — marking the commencement for the first class of students who began at the university in the fall of 2005. In its four years, AUN has grown from a few hundred students to several thousand students. Its faculty has also grown yearly, and includes experts from the U.S., Europe, and Africa.

As webmaster, I oversaw the development of the website from its earliest stages — creating the templates, CSS, and include files. I also update every area of the site.

Its experts regularly influence policymakers on everything from economics to education, and its website encompasses a vast amount of information — including research, news, and policy documents, as well as initiatives focused on current trends and globally important events.

Brookings’ website transitioned recently from Engenda CMS to Microsoft MOSS. This transition was necessary due to the tremendous volume of information housed on its site.

In addition, Brookings maintains a variety of mailing lists which promote its initiatives and events.

As a web developer, I was responsible primarily for the managing content for the Economic Studies and Global Economy and Development programs.

CDEM is known around the world as a premiere education program not only for students, but also for election officials world-wide who wish to expand their knowledge of election practices. CNAS is devoted to improving interrelations between the countries of North America. Diplomats, politicians, and experts in all three countries are involed in its initiatives.

As such, the websites for these centers needed to be focused on providing information while also being assessable and easily utilized by individuals at the highest levels of government.

As a web developer, I organized events, news, and information to create a intuitive and straightfoward website. I managed the HTML emails, and I also created the logos and visual branding for a number of printed materials used during high-level conferences and events.

After holding hearings in Washington D.C. and Texas, the Commission issued its final report on September 19, 2005. The main goal of the Commission was to provide information and research aimed at improving U.S. elections.
