The Commission on Federal Election Reform was a bipartisan effort led by former U.S. President Carter and former U.S. Secretary of State Baker. After holding hearings in Washington D.C. and Texas, the Commission issued its final report on September 19, 2005. The main goal of the Commission was to provide information and research aimed at improving U.S. elections.
